How does your perfect day look like?
A few years ago I decided that for me, that perfect day would be one with an empty schedule. A day where I could create and do what my heart desired at the moment, without waiting for free space. Where I could go out in the morning and simply let my feet bring me where ever they desired, wondering the planet with intention yet without a destination. Enjoying every moment.
With lots of pre-work 3 years ago that day was finally here and the first few weeks were amazing, like a holiday. After that it was me myself and I, a journey to discover what the heck I truly wanted to attribute all this time towards.
A deep journey of being with myself and I can tell you, it was dark and painful at moments as well as the most liberating journey I ever endeavored on. Nobody telling me what to do, suddenly I had to take more responsibility for myself than I could have ever imagined before. Now I was responsible for ever feeling and every step I took.
Nothing to hide & nowhere to go. We can’t escape ourselves.
Now I love every waking morning. I am the creator of my day, I decide if it’s going to be fun or if I let myself be swept away by nothingness and boredom.
Every meeting I decide upon, every bit of work I do, is one I enjoy and therefore it never feels like work. My days are free even when I am doing activities that we call work, as I don’t consider them work. They are an integral part of what I enjoy most doing on this planet.
Every person I meet I enjoy and I actively create space every day to spend time with the people I love, far away from the digital space. I can now enjoy his every day, instead of squeezed in moments after a 10 hour office day.
A perfect joyful day looks totally different for all of us.
